Prov 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding.

We are reminded in Jeremiah that we are to trust in Elohim and not on our own hearts.

Jer 17:7-9 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. 8“For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit. 9“The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?

Elohim also tells us in Jeremiah not to boast of our ourselves, but to boast about knowing Him.

Jer 9:23-24 Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; 24but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
