A Growing Program Feeding Kids in Need
1
A group of 12 women started the Waukesha Chapter of Blessings in a Backpack in 2012, initially feeding 25 kids. They are now over 1250 kids! While their success has been remarkable, there is always more work to do. Joining us to discuss their mission and how you can get involved are Regina Estrada and Jennifer Waltz. Blessings in a Backpack of Waukesha County is holding their annual fundraiser on October 13 at The Ingleside Hotel (formerly Country Springs). This is their main source of funding for the year, and they have great donations from businesses and sponsors, but they are always open to more! There are still tickets available for the event, visit BlessingsinWaukesha.org for more information and for tickets.
