John le Carré (2020) Reading 'Jabberwocky' (Poem by Lewis Carroll - 1871)

From what I can gather this poem was recorded in October 2020 for the Julia's House Children's Hospice Christmas bash (John le Carré was a patron).

It is quite possibly the last published recording of John le Carré.

'Jabberwocky' is a nonsense poem written by Lewis Carroll about the killing of a creature named "the Jabberwock". It was included in his 1871 novel Through the Looking-Glass, the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865). The book tells of Alice's adventures within the back-to-front world of the Looking-Glass world.

I just found out - John le Carré read this poem as a contribution to the Julia's House charity (a hospice for very ill children). It was a online virtual Christmas party and carol service (called 'Christmas Cracker').
