What happens when loyalty to God clashes with the traditions and policies of religion?

Jesus Christ was outlawed by His own church because He refused to bow to man-made traditions, policies, and corrupt leadership. His loyalty was to His Father, not to an institution. He declared, "I and my Father are one" (John 10:30), and His life exposed the hypocrisy of the religious elite.
