Your Stuff Is Not The Answer

It doesn't matter what material thing you try to fill your life with. You won't care about your new phone, your new car, your clothes, your jewelery, in ten years. I've found this to be very true in my own life and I imagine it holds up for most people at all ages. I do believe there is a place for certain material things, for example, a toy you no longer care about as an adult may have helped you develop spatial reasoning skills as a child, and a phone might be necessary for your daily business - of course you'll need to replace it at some point. What I mean is: nothing you can buy will fulfill you. It might serve a purpose, but that shiny new thing isn't going to satisfy your soul. So take Jimmy Carr's advice, and stop wasting your time on stuff.
