Giant Newfoundland Soccer Game Turns Pretty Exciting

Samson the giant Newfoundland dog and his little owner Sierra are the best of friends. They spend many evenings together, playing games and cuddling on the floor. From time to time, Samson the Newfoundland gets a little too excited and goes absolutely crazy. Watch as this huge pup pounces on the ball as soon as Sierra brings it out to start the game. You can see how much he loves soccer the minute she drops the ball onto the floor. He pounces like a puppy and starts running around the living room floor with a huge smile on his face!

There’s no stopping this whirlwind once it starts. Even though Samson is 160 pounds and runs straight at little Sierra, she continues laughing seeming to know he will be just careful enough to not hurt her. You can hear the little girl’s voice saying how they are so good at soccer and we will have to agree. These two make a great team as she kicks the ball across the room and the big dog goes to stop the pass. The massive Newfie even jumps across the furniture to try and stop the ball!

Watch how fast this game escalates! The excitement is almost too much for Samson to take, and he starts darting from one side of the room to another looking for the ball. Sierra doesn’t look worried at all when the big dog comes running right at her. She knows he would never to anything to harm her.

Sierra runs away from the crazy pooch and dives on the chair, using a pillow as protection, but the Newfie follows, grabbing the pillow and exposing the little girls hiding place. These two are hilarious to watch with such a huge contrast in size. It is beautiful to see such a small girl best friends with such a large canine!

Newfoundland dogs are very large working dogs. They originate from Canada and can be either all black, brown or white and black. Newfie’s are known for the gigantic size, intelligence and strength. They are also known for their loyalty. They are fantastic with children, as you can see here, and make great companions. They were bred to work with fishermen as a working dog on the coast of Newfoundland, but have since become a very popular family pet. They are extremely calm and docile dogs by nature but can act like puppies at any age. They are known as the gentle giant and love to cuddle and be loved! They have a very sweet temperament and take well to other pets and small children, despite their size. Newfoundland dogs can often be found as therapy pets, being very kind and gentle with seniors, children with autism and other disabilities and bring a lot of happiness to anyone that they visit.
