Sticks and Stones Comedy will present an evening of live stand-up comedy with Palma Florentino plus a special film screening of “Apple Pie Dreams” from the Hamptons Comedy Film Fest, on Friday, February 7, at 7 p.m. at the Southampton Cultural Center.
The film “Apple Pie Dreams” is a timely and humorous take on immigration. A group of immigrants have no idea what they’re in for when they sign up for Adelaide’s naturalization class. At first, they’re excited to become U.S. citizens, but wacky Adelaide and their dashed expectations have them questioning ... should they actually go back to where they came from?

Writer/producer/actor Elisha Jachetti and director Alexander ‘Sasha’ Vorobyev will be in attendance at the screening.

“This film is important for the world, especially right now, as we explore the first-gen experience in the United States,” said Vorobyev in a director’s statement. “As someone who immigrated here about 10 years ago, I not only related to the script but also worked with the producer to employ as many first-gen artists as we could.
