Feinstein's Officer To Be Investigated For Confidential Letter Leak Of Christine Ford
Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s office will be investigated to determine if it leaked a confidential letter from Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said Sunday. Cotton—who announced the investigation shortly after President Trump suggested Feinstein may have released the letter at a rally—said lawyers who worked with Ford will also face an investigation by the Washington, D.C. Bar for allegedly misinforming her that Senate Judiciary Committee staffers would not travel to California to speak with her about her alleged assault.
Cotton insisted the lawyers were provided to Ford by Democrats and said they “betrayed her” in an interview with CBS’ Face the Nation.
“She has been victimized by Democrats ... on a search-and-destroy mission for Brett Kavanaugh,” he said. Feinstein (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has said she received a letter from Ford laying out her allegations several months ago but insisted she kept the document confidential and did not leak any details.
