Cyber City Oedo 808

Cyber City Oedo 808 is a 1990 cyberpunk original video animation (OVA) series created by Madhouse and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri.
Set in the year 2808 in the city of Oedo (Tokyo), it tells the story of three criminals who are enlisted to fight crime in exchange for reducing their sentences to the point where they can earn their freedom.
The series consists of three episodes, each 45 minutes long, and was released between June 21, 1990, and October 4, 1991.

The main characters include Shunsuke Sengoku, a black-haired maverick; Gogul, a mohawk-donning hacker; and Benten, an androgynous bishōnen.
The series has received mostly positive reception and later attained a cult following.
