Cat Struggles To Control Its Tongue After Having A Surgery
Your cat may need anesthesia for a number of reasons throughout its lifetime. Teeth cleanings and extractions, sterilization and injury repair are just a few procedures that require anesthetic drugs in felines. That’s why it is important to give your furry kid special care after anesthesia to help it recover in no time. The cat in this video is called Dani and she had just got out of surgery and was loopy from the anesthesia. As the effects of the anesthesia drugs had gradually faded, it is normal for this feline to be groggy, acting as if she is intoxicated.
Since each animal metabolizes medications differently, how the pet will react is hard to predict. In some cats, the anesthesia wears off very quickly and easily, in a matter of few hours, while others seem drugged for days. Dani seems to be doing fine and the effects of anesthesia are already fading away, however, she can’t still take control over the movements of her tongue. Either her tongue feels numb from the drug or it is just her involuntary reflex to keep the tongue the way it is.
During the video, neither once does she puts her tongue inside. Maybe it is really helpful if she keeps it out because the fresh air streaming through it feels good and it brings her relief. We may find the footage funny, but oh, the poor cat must have been really afraid of whatever surgery she had undergone. How about her legs? Just look at the position of her legs, she has crossed them and she sits like this all the time on her way home. Who knows, maybe even the position of her legs adds to the feeling of relief after the surgery. It doesn’t matter, whatever helps her recover.
From time to time, Dani moves her tongue from left to right and raises it upwards, touching her cute muzzle with it. Yes, sweet kitty, your tongue is fully functioning, you shouldn't be concerned at all.
If you find this video interesting, then you have to watch something similar to this one, with the difference that the cat in this video hadn’t been anesthetized, but simply she just loves to stick her tongue out for the camera in a way that is not rude, but adorable. Her name is Melissa, the nonchalant cat that loves sticking her adorably long tongue out for the camera. What an unusual way of relaxing - tongue-out! This lazy cat is fully aware of its chic look and flaunts the American flag with pride, or maybe she is mocking the nation and trying to send a read-between-the-lines message. Who knows!? Melissa is loafing on the carpet wearing a patriotic bow tie with the American flag on it. The feline is resting in the living room, listening to reggae music, but there is something peculiar about its appearance. She faces the camera and has her tongue stuck out to greet the audience! How inconvenient! Cats have a tendency to do some strange and unusual things, which we don't always understand why, but we love them anyways.
