Oregon Band Saw Mill kinda!!

The first saw in the video was the one I used as my template. This is a saw mill that you push by hand. It pushes easy. This is a custom built 20' long band saw mill. It will cut a 28" diameter log and make up to 24" wide boards 16'6" long. It cuts down to 1" of the log rest. Frame extensions can be added to let you cut any length board, 2 sided log, 3 sided log or square timber. You can make up to 24"x 24" square beams. You can cut beveled siding with the mill with a simple pull of a lever with no additional add on. It comes standard with 4 log supports and log dogs for holding the log in place while cutting. Each dog has two points of contacts and and are also used for log squaring. Both sides are fully adjustable to fit any shape or size log. You can cut a log as short as 3' 6" for that high dollar specialty wood and even shorter with a small attachment. I kept all of my jigs because it took most of 80 hours to build them. The first saw took me 5 weeks to make mainly because of the jigs. Now I can build one in 80 to 120 hours. There is a sneak peek of the Gen5 saw at the end. It was a 30ft saw that I built custom for me. Sadly a guy gave me more for it than I wanted. There is a teaser of it at the end of the video.
I still don't have one for myself, but that is going to change, soon. I might start making them again. Might... BUT!!! Me first..
Oh btw, I am producing two videos on the Gen5 saw. This was a video to introduce you to it. In the videos I will show you how to change the blade and show you how to cut with it. If things go well I should be back in production by this summer. BUT, like I said---> The first one is mine.

Capture hardware: "Portta" Video Capture Box, an old VCR and boxes full of old VCR tapes.
