"The Interlopers" by Saki tells the story of two men, Ulrich von Gradwitz and Georg Znaeym, who are locked in a bitter, long-standing feud over a piece of land. One stormy night, they encounter each other in the disputed territory, each intending to kill the other. Before they can act, a tree falls, trapping them both. As they're pinned beneath the branches, they initially continue their animosity, exchanging threats and insults. However, as the night wears on, the cold and their shared predicament force them to reconsider their feud...
