🇪🇸 Floods in Málaga Province: Over 100 Incidents in Two Days

🌧 On February 3–4, heavy rains caused floods and over 100 incidents in Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Rincón de la Victoria, and Vélez-Málaga. In Torremolinos, 87.4 mm of rainfall was recorded, with water levels exceeding 1 meter in the Riu Nautilus and Don Pablo hotels.

In Benalmádena, cases of hypothermia were reported, and rescue operations were carried out for people trapped in flooded elevators. The area saw 66 mm of rainfall, leading to flooded private garages and an upgrade of the weather alert from yellow to orange.

‼️ In Fuengirola, 66.1 mm of rain forced the closure of parks and an underpass. In Marbella, 49.8 mm of rainfall was recorded as of 3:00 PM on February 4.
