Court restores protections for endangered whales to prevent entanglement in fishing gear

A federal appeals court is reinstating a law banning lobster fishing in a 200-nautical-mile area off the New England coast from Feb. 1 to April 30 annually, which is supposed to help right whales from getting entangled in fishing gear.
