Gang caught on CCTV using sledgehammers to smash display cases in jewellery raid

Police are hunting brazen thieves caught on CCTV using sledgehammers to smash jewellery shop display cases in a shocking daylight raid. The gang burst into the shop at 10.40am and leapt over the counter in front of a horrified shop assistant. Two of the crooks used sledgehammers to break into the glass display cases while the third ordered the shop worker to open the safe. The robbers stuffed the valuables into large bags for life before fleeing the shop and speeding away in a stolen getaway car.
