Who really gives a damn about these mutual admiration parties?

Every year we are subjected to the Oscars. Those who have no life whatsoever, or are members of the Screen Actor’s Guild, are about the only people watching this fiasco. The Oscars are nothing more than a bunch of rich and famous people patting each other on the back. Never mind that they are about as out of touch as anyone can be without living life in a straight jacket in a rubber room.

Hollywood actors by and large are already stupid people with a median IQ somewhere around 107 according to Mensa. You never see or hear these folks bragging on an IQ because it is so painfully low. Take people like Robert DeNiro or Rosanne Barr and you’ll quickly understand their dilemma. Theirs is “The Hidden Score.”

Of course, then there are the Emmy Awards, a sort of scaled down Oscar presentation geared toward those who either couldn’t come up with the money to buy a Hollywood role or didn’t perform well enough on “The casting couch” to land a role in a motion picture. Theirs is the daily routine of daytime television, the Hollywood Wannabees.

Then there are the Tony Awards. What the Hell is this all about? Again, out-of-touch actors patting each other on the back as the current award winner enjoys ‘his or her turn’ on stage to accept an award that nobody outside of the Broadway Bunch even gives a half-of-a-damn about. But then there’s their family. So many parents of these miscreants refuse to watch this fisasco.

Last but not least is the Grammy Awards. Here’s a different cast of ne’er do wells, rappers [same thing], and a pile of moral degenerates all vying for a trophy and award that mean dick to about 99% of America. How many of these folks got their start in General Population of a State or Federal Prison?

In all of these you see the same thing. You see television so desperate for content that they’ll actually televise such crap and try to make it relevant. With the fibrous backbone of nepotism, bribery, blackmail and moral surrender the entertainment industry continues to pat itself on the back from year to year. As usual the only spectators are the camera crews, parents, and close associates because other viewers find more entertainment in watching the Weather Channel.

Who actually watches this crap on television other than relatives, close associates [they have no friends] and people without a life of any consequence; groupies? If I sound a bit rude, it’s because only rudeness can possibly shed any light on the single most worthless class of television broadcasts. I guess episodes of “Mama’s Place” or “Roseanne” might qualify as equally worthless but hey, who am I but the voice of reason?
