Low cost veterinary clinic open for business
The recently opened Lipsey Veterinary Clinic at the SPCA Serving Erie County is not a free clinic, but it can cover many of the "basics". According to vet tech Lydia Stineman "we're trying to keep our prices low to help out the people that really do need it." Veterinary care can be cost prohibitive, that's why the SPCA has made it their mission to ofere a low cost alternative to cover some of the basics like "dental care, deworming, flea prevention, heartworm testing, spay and neutering." According to Chief Communications Officer Gina Browning "it's heart breaking when a family has to surrender a pet because they cannot afford the high cost of care" adding "we really want to focus on pet retention, on trying to help people get the vet care they need." The Lipsey Veterinary Clinic has limited hours by appointment only. To make an appointment you can call 716-531-4700 or email lipseyclinic@yourspca.org You can al=ways get more information at yourspca.org
