Key Republican votes to advance RFK Jr. after ‘intense conversations’ with White House

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination was approved by the Senate Finance Committee this morning, 14-13. The nomination now advances to the Senate floor. This was a party line vote. There has been some speculation that GOP Sen. Bill Cassidy would vote against advancing Kennedy’s nomination; Cassidy is a doctor who has expressed concerns with Kennedy’s views on vaccines.
