Rumble / Unreal AnimalsDuring a dive, the two divers were working their way along a rock wall when one of them noticed something moving behind a very dense kelp growth. Shifting a few of the very large kelp leaves revealed a massive octopus, known as a Giant Pacific Octopus. As you will see, the octopus almost immediately engaged with the diver showing intense curiosity. Octopus are incredibly intelligent and curious animals and knowing this, the diver did not pull away but rather relaxed, managed themselves in a safe manner and enjoyed the experience. Relaxing and showing no fear towards the animal was the best option as these creatures are extremely strong. If it had decided it was not going to free the diver, things may have gone differently. Having buddies while diving is also extremely important. When an issue arises they are there to help, just as this divers buddy did by gently manipulating the octopus off of the fellow diver that was slowly being engulfed. Enjoy the video and if diving is on your bucket list, check that off as an adventure. You will not be disappointed with the experiences and life long memories it brings!
