China’s Space Mission Just Revolutionized How We Make Oxygen & Fuel

Chinese astronauts aboard the Tiangong space station have successfully generated oxygen and rocket fuel using artificial photosynthesis. The Shenzhou-19 crew conducted 12 experiments using semiconductor catalysts to convert carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and hydrocarbon ethylene, a key component for rocket fuel.
