Star Wars is CURSED! Netflix FIRES Acolyte Creator After Ratings Drop!

Leslye Headland becomes the latest casualty of the Star Wars curse. Once you work on a Disney Star Wars project, it goes on to have a deleterious effect on your career. Headland was inexplicably hired by Netflix to helm a big budget adaptation of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, but after the year end numbers for The Acolyte were revealed, she was quickly removed from the production. The former Harvey Weinstein personal assistant describes it as a personal decision, but it's obvious Netflix doesn't want to endanger another project with such a divisive showrunner.

Given the current state of the Rey movie and other projects on tap, who on earth would want to associate with Lucasfilm at this point?
