Illegal immigrants are buying property in the U.S. and renting it back to Americans.

One tenant shared:
"ICE came and picked up my landlord."
"His daughter texted me saying, 'Hey hun, just letting you know ICE picked up my dad. No warrant, no nothing.'”

The landlord supposedly had a work permit, but that’s highly questionable—ICE wouldn’t have detained him if his papers were in order. The only reason ICE would detain someone with a work permit is if they violated immigration laws, meaning he could potentially be a criminal.

Why are non-citizens allowed to buy property in America and rent it back to us, especially during a homeownership crisis?

Current U.S. laws do not prevent undocumented immigrants from purchasing or owning property—THIS HAS TO CHANGE.
