Created at the height of the G.I. Joe craze in the 1980s, G.I. Joe: The Movie was intended as a theatrical release but was instead released direct-to-video as well as aired on television in syndication. There's loads packed into this opening sequence that brings back so many memories of the 80s and the idealistic Real American Hero. I mean, they are literally having a battle with Cobra on the Statue of Liberty and the song just makes it that much better!
