The Gants were a 1960s American garage rock band from Greenwood, Mississippi. Known for their hit "Roadrunner" peaking at No. 46 in 1965, they mixed R&B covers with original tunes. Their lead, Sid Herring, penned Beatles-inspired songs. Despite initial success, their career fizzled due to educational commitments and the draft. They reformed briefly in the 2000s but are remembered as a cult classic in garage rock.
