Sisters separated at birth return to Baltimore bar where their mother sold them away
Kenneth Suggs had one dying wish for the daughter who raised her. He wanted her to find her sister. Suggs adopted his daughter Marion when she was a baby. In a story that started with heartbreak, Marion’s mother gave up her two daughters in Butcher’s Hill bar 51 years ago. Ken took in Marion and raised her as his own, but the little girl’s sister was a mystery. After a 10-month search involving DNA testing and thorough investigation, the long-lost sibling was located. Marion, who now lives in Middle River, found Nora, her sister, in Southern Virginia. The two picked a point in the middle, meeting in Richmond, Va. to recount lost years and see if fate had really reunited a pair who seemed likely never to cross paths again. The two returned to the bar where they once unknowingly bid farewell, and WMAR 2 News’ Jamie Costello was there for one memorable happy hour
