Over 2 dozen Chinese illegal immigrants busted in an alleged smuggling operation

Over 2 dozen Chinese illegal immigrants busted in an alleged smuggling operation in Coral Gables, Florida.

Two vans transporting 26 alleged Chinese illegals were intercepted by Florida police this week.

Coral Gables Police Chief Edward James Hudak Jr. says he believes the Chinese illegals got to Florida by boat in the southern end of Coral Gables.

"We believe they came by boat, they came through a secluded area in the southern end of Coral Gables. They're coming up through a canal area that leads to a private marina."

Police say the smugglers were Cuban and Puerto Rican and were carrying a firearm.

There were reportedly 9 women and 17 men, with 13 people in each van.

China has reportedly been buying up thousands of acres in the Caribbean which is being used as a stopping point for these illegals before coming into the U.S.
