Black Forest Adler serving homemade German food

Gerhard Braun grew up in Germany's Black Forest. He says it wasn't dark & scary, but "bright and beautiful". "Bright and beautiful" also describes the restaurant that Gerhard put together with his partner Laura. The Black Forest Adler Restaurant was Gerhard and Laura's dream come true about seven years ago. Gerhard says that it was "our goal to bring part of our country to the states -to Buffalo." Everything here is homemade. Gerhard says it took him six hours just to make a tray of Maultaschen. That's a popular dish that he describes as a "German Ravioli". Laura says that some people have a misconception about German food, that it's all the same but "it's not" she says "It's different depending on where you're from in Germany."
