“Inheriting the Kingdom”
9th In our series the Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians

I. Fighting the Good Fight of Faith
* A. Jesus commands us to Occupy till He comes - Luke 19:13
* B. Resist the Devil - James 4:7

II. A Clear Eyed Vision of the Kingdom - Ephesians 1:11-12
* A. We have obtained the inheritance of the Kingdom as Co-heirs with Christ - Romans 8:16-17
* 1. Jesus promises we shall inherit the earth - Matthew 5:5
* a. We shall gain far more than we may lose in following Christ - Matthew 19:29
* b. At the Final Judgement Jesus will say to the saints - Matthew 25:34
* c. The wicked will inherit damnation - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 
* 2. It is a perfect inheritance - 1 Peter 1:4
* 3. The Over-comers shall inherit all things - Revelation 21:7
* B. That doesn’t mean we are now free from trials and tribulations 
* 1. But we are assured these trials are all for our benefit 
* 2. God is sovereign working all things together for our growth in Christ likeness -  Romans 8:28-29
* a. Therefore we can rejoice in trials - James  1:2-4
* b. We can be confident that God’s will can never be thwarted, not by man or even by Satan
* 3. The end will be that we are “to the Praise of His Glory.”
* a. We live now imperfectly but will be perfected either at His 2nd Advent or our death- 1 John 3:2
* b. We will fulfill that which we were created to be by God’s perfect will
* c. Now we strive for that same goal, to be all that Christ means for us to be
