Mike Adams shares the view that the fall of Syria represents a catastrophe, inflicting deep blows to Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and (what I regard as) the forces of good. Mike King of the Anti-New York Times suggests that, since Russia had been kicking the living shit out of these "jihadist" forces, something isn't right about all of this: It just doesn't make any sense. But it may take a while to figure out what it's really all about. Col. Jacques Baud offers his reflections on how this came about, where it remains puzzling in the extreme. The US is now undertaking a massive bombing and attack campaign against (we are told) ISIS, but since the US created ISIS (which it created and funds with Israel), something else appears to be going on. Because a Russia-friendly candidate for President of Romania came out on top during the first round of voting, the Constitutional Court declared the proceedings to be invalid and instructed a re-do. But it makes perfect sense for a highly conservative nation to prefer him over the alternative, a woman who wants to send their children to die in Ukraine. UGH!
