On August 28-31, 2024, United States soldiers and airmen assigned to the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) conduct a base defence exercise at the Cooperative Security Location in Manda Bay, Kenya. During the exercise, CJTF-HOA worked with Kenya Defence Forces to train on crisis response in a variety of mission scenarios, including a downed aircraft and an indirect fire attack with simulated medical problems.
