The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has confirmed that five Chinese nationals, arrested in separate operations, were found to be graduates of a university linked to China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

According to NBI Director Jaime Santiago, the suspects denied the allegations, claiming they were tourists or had married Filipinas to justify their stay. However, open-source searches reportedly confirmed their PLA connections.
