Best Actress Nominee Karla Sofia Gascon is under fire for some old, almost based Tweets. The Emilia Perez star had a thing or two to say about George Floyd, Islam, Vaccines and other spicy topics. The most troublesome topic discussed in 2020/2021 was how the Oscars were enveloped with Black Lives Matter and other diversity issues, so Gascon might have given up the Academy Award with those statements.

Very quickly, a PR approved apology was issued and how Hollywood handles the Trans Woman going forward will be very telling for how they approach these otherwise cancelable moments in the future.
