- The first ace monster of the OTH legend Playmaker! Decode Talker has a great 2300 attack and a handy effect that allows it to gain 500 attack points per monster it is pointing to, including IF an opponent's monster is currently being pointed at. It also has the nice ability to negate an opponent's card effect that targets any card on your field, by tributing one of your monsters it points to, and even better! It is not a once-per-turn!

- Trivia:
Its attack on the Japanese is called "Decode Endo" In English it is called "Decode Destruction"
It was the first Link monster to appear and to be summoned
This card's second effect is similar to Yusei Fudo's Stardust Dragon effect of sacrificing itself to protect others from destruction
Decode Talker is very similar to Junk Warrior as well
During the anime, when Decode Talker links with Encode Talker, they become Firewall Dragon
