My upcoming book, “No-One’s Dad’s A Plumber’ will re-visit the official accounts of many reported rock star deaths. Among the most intriguing story is that of a French Count, Count Jean de Breteuil who, rather than pursing the kind of life one might expect of an aristocrat, instead became a self-styled “dealer to the stars,” pushing particularly potent brews of heroin. His story ties into the reported deaths of Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin, despite his being conspicuously absent from the official record.
