During her 2012 Senate campaign, Elizabeth Warren accepted donations from lobbyists connected to pharmaceutical interests. For instance, in 2011, she received a $2,500 contribution from Gerald Cassidy, founder of Cassidy & Associates, a prominent lobbying firm. Additionally, in her 2017 reelection campaign, Warren accepted $1,000 from Henry Menn, a lobbyist whose clients included Medtronic, a medical device company, and Lupin Pharmaceuticals.

Furthermore, in 2019, Warren announced she would donate $4,500 to charity to offset previous contributions from the Sackler family, owners of Purdue Pharma, the maker of OxyContin.
