Border Patrol agents take fire from smugglers at the border.

Border Patrol agents fired upon by suspected cartel members at the border during a human smuggling operation.

The incident happened in Fronton, Texas and resulted in Border Patrol returning fire.
Cartel members tried to bring a group of illegal immigrants across the river.

The Agents fired back. No one on either side was hit. The group of illegal immigrants did not make it across. The border in Fronton is extremely dangerous,

Cartel members are constantly fighting for the territory, as it’s a hot spot for human smuggling.
