Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
We have another very warm and humid day on-tap for today with plenty of sunshine to start the day. Clouds will be on the increase mainly this afternoon as a cold front approaches the area. This front could kick off a shower or T'storm this afternoon, but not everyone will see this activity. Highs will be very warm in the mid- to upper-80s. Tonight, that cold front will be sweeping through, picking up the wind speed out of the NE, and dropping the humidity and temperature as the night wears on. This front could touch off an isolated shower or T'storm through the evening, but should clear the area overnight. Lows will drop into the upper-50s. Tuesday, we will be behind that cold front, and you'll notice the difference. It will be much cooler than it has been with highs only in the upper-60s with plenty of clouds. There will be a slight chance of a shower or sprinkle in the morning, but most of the day should be okay. Tuesday night there will be a chance of a little rain late with lows in the low-50s. Wednesday, a much stronger area of low pressure will be approaching the area slowly increasing our chances of a shower or T'storm as the day progresses. It'll be breezy with highs in the upper-60s. There could be some significant rainfall on Wednesday night and Thursday as that area of low pressure rolls through.
