You’ve protected all our people since 1948;
you defend us from the terrorists of Islamic hate
whose savagery and barbarism fought us for decades
yet thanks to you, our star of David never, ever fades.
In 1967 and in 1973
your courage and determination kept our people free.

The Israeli Defence Force, I know we’ll all agree,
is the most moral army there has ever been.
The IDF it can be said with total honesty
is the most moral force the world has ever seen.

There is a pair of iron domes in our skies:
the missile interceptors and a book that never dies.
I refer to the Torah whose message, loud and clear,
inspires and motivates our population every year.
You set a fine example and I know we’ll all agree
your courage and determination kept our people free.
