At age 15, Emanuela Orlandi was the youngest citizen of the Holy See Vatican. Her father worked for the SWISS BANK AUTHORITY Bank of Vatican (IOR) under Archbishop President Paul Marcinkus.

Emanuela’s father Ercole Orlandi personally managed the appointment schedule calendar for the Holy father. Pope John Paul II.

On June 22, 1983, after her usual flute lesson at the Music School in Piazza di Sant’Apollinare, Rome, the 15-year-old Vatican citizen never came back home. Her father, Ercole Orlandi, worked as clerk of the Prefecture of the Pontifical Household, so Emanuela lived within the walls of the Vatican all her life. Emanuela was kidnapped outside the Walls of the Holy See Vatican, within Rome.
