A Manufacturing Renaissance: Rep. Jason Smith calls to strengthen US supply chains

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) says Congress needs to make sure U.S. supply chains—from food, to energy, to healthcare—are secure and independent from other nations. “That’s why President Trump campaigned on creating tax incentives for manufacturing here in the United States and those are the policies that we will be pushing and advocating for in this tax bill, but also in the trade policies moving forward,” he says. “We need to make sure American manufacturers, American workers, American farmers are first."
