England defeated India by 26 runs in the 3rd T20I and series is poised at 2-1.
India won the toss and as usual opted to bowl.
England while batting first could manage to score a decent score of 171 for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
England lost their ist wicket of Philip Salt cheaply who scored only 5 runs. Then Jis Butler and Ben Duckett scored briskly and reached the England score to 83 runs in 8.5 overs only.
Jos Butler made 24 runs from 22 balls and was second to go. Ben Duckett top scored with 51 runs from 28 balls hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes. Liam Livingstone contributed 43 runs from 24 balls hitting one four and 5 sixes.
In the end Adil Rashid remained not out on 9 runs and Mark Wood not out on 10 runs.
Varun Chakraverty bowled splendidly by bowling 4 overs giving only 24 runs and took 5 wickets. Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets and one wicket each was taken by Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel.
Chasing target of 172 runs India could manage only 145 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 26 runs.
Hardik Pandya top scored with 40 runs from 35 balls. Abhishek Sharma made 24 runs, Tilak Verma 18 runs and Captain Surya Kumar Yadav 14 runs.
Adil Rashid bowled very economically gave only 15 runs in his 4 over spell and took prize wicket of Tilak Verma.
Jamie Overton got 3 wickets. Two wickets each were taken by Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse. Mark Wood took one wicket.
India won the first two matches and third one won by England .
Varun Chakraverty was declared Player of the Match.
