Creating this piece has been a deeply personal and spiritual journey. I’ve always felt a special connection to the story of Juan Diego and the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the Tilma. Years later, I discovered that I was baptized on December 12th—the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. 🙏💖

As I bring this vision to life, I do so with prayerful intent, meditating on Our Blessed Mother’s role in salvation history. Every layer of this artwork is meaningful—from the Castilian roses in the foreground, to the constellations on her garment, and the intricate patterns of her traditional dress subtly woven into the background through collage, spray paint, and mark-making techniques. 🎨✨
