Arrival at the Yogyakarta International Airport, first impressions. Later taking the train from the city of Yogyakarta to the Airport, I'll show you the departure area and later the Concordia Lounge which is the lounge I stayed at using the Priority Pass as a traveller. I will be doing this mostly as a voice over Vlog style video.

Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), located in Kulon Progo, approximately 45 kilometers west of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is a relatively recent addition to the country's aviation infrastructure. The need for a new airport arose due to the limitations of Adisucipto International Airport, which had become overcrowded and struggled to accommodate the growing number of passengers in the region. Construction of YIA began in 2017, and the airport officially opened in 2020, marking a significant milestone in enhancing air travel access to the cultural heart of Java. The airport was designed to handle both domestic and international flights, and its modern facilities are built to serve as a key gateway to the popular tourism destinations of Yogyakarta and Central Java. YIA’s development is part of Indonesia’s broader efforts to improve transportation infrastructure and boost economic growth in less-developed areas. With its state-of-the-art design and capacity for future expansion, Yogyakarta International Airport is poised to play a major role in connecting the region to the rest of the world, while also supporting local tourism and trade.
