Vice President Vance Speaks to Reporters in Damascus, Virginia

Vice President JD Vance spoke on federal support for the community of Damascus, Virginia, as it continued to recover and rebuild from the devastation it experienced due to Hurricane Helene in September 2024. The vice president held a brief press conference following meeting with local fire officials about recovery from the hurricane. "Unfortunately, while the people have done an incredible job at rebuilding this community, they have not had a federal government that's really been on their side," Vice President Vance said.
