Oregon was the first state to use “Vote By Mail" officially. Since then, the Democratic Party has become the dominant political force by holding a decades-long majority in the state legislature and by occupying all the major statewide offices. In June of 1998 supporters of “VBM” used the initiative process to put the issue on the November general election ballot. On Nov. 3, 1998, Oregon voters decided to expand “VBM” to primary and general elections, by a vote of 757,204 to 334,021.

Many now believe “VBM” is one of the main instruments used for election fraud because there is no chain of custody when using the mailing system. Ben Edtl, Michcaela Hammerson, and Stephen Joncus decided to file a statewide initiative to end vote by mail and return to in-person voting. We will discuss this campaign and ways others can help.
