BioShock Creator Calls Out Gaming Industry Stagnation | It’s Too Big to Stay

Famed BioShock creator, Ken Levine, gave an interview recently where he says the gaming industry has gotten too big for its own good.

The cost of producing AAA games has risen dramatically over the years and has gotten to the point where some within the industry are saying games have to be massive hits in order to just turn a profit for the studios. Ken Levine warned that this has resulted in industry stagnation since studios don’t want to take any risks. Some have hoped Grand Theft Auto VI will cost $100 at launch to justify other developers charging more. Unfortunately for them, that would just mean less people would buy games and further exacerbate the downfall of gaming.
