LA County Sheriff's Deputies Fatally Shoot Suspect Outside A 7-11 Who Displayed A BB Gun At Deputies

Posted • January 27, 2025: A man is dead after he was shot by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy at a convenience store early morning on December 10, 2024. Deputies from the East L.A. station were dispatched to a 7-Eleven located on the 6500 block of Olympic Boulevard at around 1 a.m. following a report of a man armed with a gun, according to an LASD report. Upon arrival, the man produced a handgun and at least one deputy opened fire and struck the man, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department said. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the spokesperson said. Authorities said a handgun was recovered at the scene, and no deputies were injured in the incident.
