The United States Space Program Experienced One Of Its Darkest Days. Three Astronauts, Virgil "Gus" Grissom, Edward H. White II, And Roger B. Chaffee, Lost Their Lives In A Fire During A Preflight Test For The Apollo 1 Mission. The Tragedy Occurred At Cape Kennedy, Florida, Inside Launch Complex 34.
