When you are at home hanging out with your dog, you may come up with different ways to keep them stimulated and busy. You can try throwing them a ball, playing tug-of-war with a rope or you could even try to use a laser pointer to get them to chase it. Laser pointers are best known as the best cat toy in the world. However, have you ever tried to get your dog to chase after one? You quickly move it from the floor to the wall in the hopes that they will jump for it. Almost every pet owner has done it just the same as the dog owner in this video. This is what she says:

"I had taken my dogs over to my parents' house for a visit. My dog Luna is a nut when it comes to laser pointers so my brother, John, came up with the idea to tape one to her head so she could enjoy it on her own. My dad, Ken, found some packaging tape and decided to help John out and tape it to her. She absolutely loved it and chased it for about 5 to 10 minutes before we took it off of her. While it was still on her she even got my parents' dogs chasing the light as well."

If you want to keep your dog entertained for hours, then the video above is filmed for you. Attach a laser pointer to your dog’s head and you will make sure that it won’t get bored for hours on end. Though we are not sure how safe it is to use this to your pooch’s head, we can just overlook it, because the dog in the video and her friends seem really happy. Luna has tons of energy and always wants to play. However, play time can be sometimes exhausting to every pet owner, so finding the perfect game is ideal. Luna loves to play ‘chase the the red dot.’ Since boredom leads to creativity, the owner’s brother attached a laser pointer to Luna’s head and this kept her and her friends occupied.

However, you need to be careful with laser pointers because even low wattage versions can cause eye injury. Make sure that the laser pointer is not going to shoot into the dog’s eyes and don’t leave the dog unattended when it has a laser pointer attached to the head. Adult supervision is a must.

Luna gets so excited with chasing the red laser dot - just look how erratically she runs around the house and wagging her tail insanely. She gets exceptionally upbeat when she sees that laser. This pooch has almost inability to ignore the laser, so she goes nuts while the wild chase. Luckily, she doesn’t point it at the wall because there is a good chance that she would start hopping up to catch it or bark at the top of her lungs. If you insist on dancing a laser beam across the floor instead, one option is to hide treats in nooks and crannies around the room, and occasionally surprise your pet by landing the light upon them. Whatever you do with your dog, the most important thing is to have fun along the way. Enjoy!
