"American Primeval" is a Netflix limited series set in the Utah Territory in 1857, exploring the violent clash between different groups in the American West.

Created by Mark L. Smith and Directed by Peter Berg it delves into the personal stories of those caught in the crossfire of the relentless struggle for survival and control going on in the Utah Territory, which is being fought over by the U.S. Army, Mormon militia, Indigenous tribes, and independent pioneers.

It's a tough but engrossing watch.
